– Ambulance Assistant

Location: Chandigarh University, Mohali, Punjab

Key Responsibilities

- Assist the medical team in handling and transporting patients safely.
- Support the driver and medical staff during emergency ambulance movements.
- Help transfer patients safely between the ambulance, clinic and hospital.
- Provide basic first-aid assistance as directed by qualified medical personnel.
- Monitor and maintain essential ambulance equipment and first-aid supplies.
- Ensure the ambulance is clean, hygienic and ready for emergency deployment.
- Check availability of oxygen, stretcher, wheelchair, first-aid kits and other emergency supplies.
- Assist in loading and unloading patients while following proper safety procedures.
- Maintain ambulance usage, patient transportation and emergency-call records.
- Coordinate with the university clinic, hospital and emergency services when required.
- Maintain confidentiality and treat patients with care, dignity and respect.




- Respond promptly to medical emergencies within the university campus.
- Report equipment shortages, damage or maintenance requirements to the Ambulance In-charge.
- Follow all university medical, safety and emergency-response protocols.
- Perform other duties related to emergency medical support as assigned.
- Required Qualifications
- Minimum Graduate
- First Aid / CPR / Basic Life Support (BLS) certification will be an advantage.
- Previous experience in ambulance services, hospitals, clinics or emergency support preferred.

Required Qualifications 1–3 years of relevant experience in ambulance services, hospitals, healthcare facilities or emergency medical support is preferred.

Pay: ₹10,165.46 - ₹25,101.93 per month
