About the Role

SMART SURGICAL is looking for a highly capable AI Engineer Intern for a 2-week intensive project to develop an AI-powered Inventory Management and Business Communication System.

The selected candidate will be responsible for building and integrating a working system that can manage inventory, process purchase invoices, track stock movement, and communicate through Email and WhatsApp using AI.

This is a hands-on engineering role. Candidates should be comfortable developing and integrating the system independently within the 2-week project period.

What You Will Build The system should be capable of:

Email / WhatsApp / Invoice → AI Processing → Transaction Identification → Database → Inventory Update → Reports & Alerts

Key Responsibilities

- Build an AI-powered inventory management system.
- Track purchases, invoices, stock movement, transfers, returns, usage, and current inventory.
- Develop automated invoice processing using AI/OCR.
- Extract information from invoices including:
- Invoice number
- Vendor
- Date
- Product/item
- Quantity
- Price
- GST
- Total amount
- Develop an AI Email Bot that can read and process relevant business emails.
- Develop an AI WhatsApp Bot for receiving and processing inventory/business information.
- Automatically update inventory records based on approved transactions.
- Maintain a centralized database for products, vendors, invoices, purchases, and inventory transactions.
- Create automated low-stock and purchase alerts.




- Build basic inventory and transaction reporting/dashboard functionality.
- Integrate required APIs, databases, AI models, email services, and WhatsApp services.
- Test and deploy a functional prototype/system within the internship period.

IMPORTANT This is a 2-week intensive project, so candidates must be able to work independently and deliver a functional system within the given timeframe.

Candidates with existing AI/automation projects, GitHub repositories, or deployed applications will be strongly preferred.

Knowledge of inventory management or the medical device/healthcare industry will be an added advantage.
