Company Description Studio Emergence is a design studio founded by architects Seeja Sudhakaran and Khushbu Davda, specializing in geometry-driven and parametric design approaches. The studio operates as a network of architects and designers focused on algorithmic and data-driven design strategies, supported by an active research cell collaborating with designers and artists worldwide.

Emergence works with architecture firms as a parametric consultancy and provides direct solutions to end users and developers, integrating computational technologies into existing workflows to improve project efficiency. In addition to architecture and planning, the studio creates installations and products using parametric design, digital fabrication processes, and inspirations from nature, biomimicry, and strong geometric forms.
Role Description The Administrative Manager is a full-time team member responsible for overseeing day-to-day office operations and supporting the smooth functioning of Studio Emergence. This hybrid role is based in Mumbai, with a combination of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility.
Key responsibilities include managing schedules and calendars, coordinating meetings, handling correspondence, and maintaining organized records and documentation.
The Administrative
Manager will oversee basic financial and resource tracking,
support project coordination by liaising with internal teams and external collaborators, and ensure studio policies and procedures are followed. The role also includes assisting with vendor management, office supplies, and logistics, while contributing to a professional, efficient, and team-oriented studio environment.
Qualifications
- Strong administrative and organizational skills, including calendar management, documentation, and office coordination.
- Experience with basic finance-related tasks such as invoice tracking, expense monitoring, and vendor coordination.
- Proficiency in standard office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, presentation tools) and comfort with digital collaboration platforms.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate between multiple stakeholders and maintain professional correspondence.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time independently, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced, design-focused environment.
- Previous experience in administrative, office management, or operations roles; experience in a design, architecture, or creative studio is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Commerce, or a related field preferred.
- Interest in design, architecture, or creative industries and willingness to learn studio-specific workflows and tools.
