About the Role
nOur client is seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Engineer(4-8) to join their growing India-based Data Engineering pod, working closely with the UK Data team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in building scalable data platforms, improving engineering reliability, implementing CI/CD best practices, and enabling advanced analytics and AI/ML initiatives. This role requires strong technical expertise, ownership mindset, and the ability to mentor junior engineers within a collaborative international environment.

- Build, optimize, and maintain scalable ELT/ETL data pipelinesn
- Work extensively with Snowflake, dbt, SQL, and Pythonn
- Implement CI/CD best practices for modern data engineering workflowsn
- Improve monitoring, alerting, reliability, and data quality processesn
- Collaborate closely with Data Scientists, BI teams, and stakeholdersn
- Support data modelling and data architecture initiativesn
- Mentor and guide junior engineers within the India podn




- Contribute towards MLOps foundations and production deployment workflowsn
- Work in close coordination with UK-based engineering teamsn

- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineeringn
- Strong expertise in SQL and Pythonn
- Hands-on experience with Snowflaken
- Robust working experience with dbtn
- Experience building production-grade data pipelinesn
- Good understanding of data modelling concepts (3NF, Kimball, etc.)n
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflowsn
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skillsn
- Experience working with cloud-based modern data platformsn
- Ability to work independently with strong ownership mindsetn
