About the team:
Captives Insurance Management Solution (CIMS) is a risk management technique by which a business forms its own insurance company subsidiary to finance its retained losses in a formal structure. The activities of this unit include Accounting, Underwriting, preparation of regular Management and Regulatory reports and financial statements.
Job summary:
The job entails providing financial servicing support for a portfolio of Captive insurance clients across the team.
Role:
Primary responsibilities include-
- Work with point of contact for each Domicile
- Responding to and following up on queries by the captive account managers
- Providing support to the Horizontal / Vertical team on activities where required, including ad-hoc data analysis, automation, or general assistance on specific Captives-related projects
- Working effectively with colleagues within the Team/Business Units to ensure goals and objectives are met & delivered
- Providing support to any departmental or inter-departmental initiatives around process enhancement / automation / Operational Excellence
- Work with the team and ensure that the client’s needs are met within the appropriate timelines
AP Key activities in the job include-
- Assisting in Accounts payable activities like reviewing invoices, preparing payments, updating logs, reports where required
- Assisting with Accounts receivable reconciliation process
MA Key activities in the job include-
- Prepare financial statements & management accounts
- Manage regulatory & compliance activities
- Prepare board pack
Requirements:
- Inter CA with Accounting or Financial experience of 2-4 years
- Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus on high quality
- A forward planner who can critically assess own performance
- Mature, credible and comfortable in dealing with senior company executives
- Emphatic communicator, ability to see things from the other person's point of view
- Presentable and businesslike and Excellent communication skills
- Keen for new experience, responsibility, accountability and professional development
- Should be a quick learner and team player
