As an Accountant at Brand Balance, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, maintaining ledgers, handling client billing, and ensuring statutory compliance. You will work closely with agency leadership to ensure complete financial accuracy, cash flow management, and timely tax filings. Your primary focus will be on maintaining accurate books, streamlining invoicing workflows, managing receivables and payables, and supporting annual audits in a fast-paced agency environment.

Responsibilities:

- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and petty cash reconciliation.
- Raise tax invoices for clients, track project milestones, and conduct proactive follow-ups on outstanding receivables.
- Prepare and file monthly GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) and ensure accurate TDS calculations and deposits.




- Perform regular bank reconciliations and verify supplier, contractor, and freelancer payments.
- Maintain financial ledgers, perform month-end closures, and coordinate with external CAs for statutory audits.
- Process monthly payroll, staff reimbursements, and tax calculations.
- Ensure strict compliance with Indian accounting standards and financial regulations.

Requirements:

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, ledger management, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Tally Prime and advanced MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- In-depth understanding of GST regulations, TDS applicability, and Indian taxation rules.
- Hands-on experience with bank reconciliations, vendor invoice verification, and billing operations.
- Strong numerical aptitude with high attention to detail and data integrity.
- High ownership mindset with the ability to execute independently without step-by-step supervision.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com), Finance, or a related field.
