Position Overview UpCarrera Education is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Academic Counselor / Tele Caller to support our student acquisition and admissions operations. The role involves engaging with prospective students, understanding their educational objectives, providing relevant guidance, nurturing leads, and driving successful admissions.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and engage prospective student leads through calls, WhatsApp, email, and other communication channels.
- Understand students’ academic goals, career aspirations, and course preferences to recommend suitable options.
- Provide accurate information regarding universities, programs, eligibility, admission procedures, fees, and intakes.
- Conduct systematic follow-ups to nurture leads and maximize conversion opportunities.  Achieve assigned monthly admission and business development targets.
- Maintain updated and accurate lead, follow-up, and conversion records in the CRM.
- Coordinate effectively with Counselling, Admissions, and Operations teams to ensure a seamless student experience.
- Support students throughout the application, documentation, and payment processes.
- Resolve student queries professionally and ensure timely communication.




- Stay informed about university programs, admission requirements, eligibility criteria, and market developments.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on lead pipeline, follow-ups, conversions, and target performance to the reporting manager.

Qualifications

- Strong student counseling and academic advising skills, with the ability to guide learners on educational options and pathways.
- Effective communication skills, including clear phone etiquette and the ability to explain programs and processes in an accessible manner.
- Experience or training in career counseling, with an understanding of current job market trends and skill requirements.
- Background or interest in education, training, or related fields, with a learner-centric approach to support and guidance.
- Ability to manage multiple inquiries, maintain organized records, and meet outreach or enrollment targets.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications, CRM or student information systems is an advantage.
- Prior experience in academic counseling, tele calling, admissions, or customer-facing roles is preferred.
- Relevant diploma or degree in education, psychology, counseling, business, or a related discipline is beneficial.

Candidate Profile

- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid interpersonal, negotiation, persuasion, and relationship-management abilities.
- Proven ability to work with targets and manage multiple leads effectively.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and customer-focused approach.
- Good working knowledge of CRM systems, MS Office, and Google Workspace.
- Prior experience in business development, sales, telecalling, student counselling, or the education sector will be an advantage.
- Fresh graduates with strong communication and interpersonal skills are encouraged to apply.
