nDevelop, test, and support ROM bootloader application development for NXP’s i.MX, RT, and MCX embedded systems.
n

nKey Challenges:
n
- n
- Develop boot ROM code in the pre-silicon platform development environmentsn
- Test boot ROM code to meet the requirements criteria and deliver code coverage report in the pre-silicon platformsn
- Lead ROM project from requirements phase to design, implement, validate, and deliver ROM binary for fabricationn
- Anticipate delays in availability of hardware functionality, pre-silicon platform stability and rom code readiness, gaps in resources, suggest mitigation options and stay on top of the schedulen

nCross functional aspects:

- n
- Work with NXP SoC architecture, design, verification, and emulation teams to understand rom dependencies on design, RTL, and Emulation platformsn
- Work with NXP Marketing, Applications Engineering, Software, and other teams in ensuring customer requirements are well captured for bootingn




- Collaborate with NXP Secure Technology team towards enabling security protection for the device in ensuring authorized use of the device throughout its lifecycle phasesn

nJob Qualifications:
nExperience required: 4 to 10 years
n
- n
- Proficiency with C-programming on embedded systemsn
- Experience with ARM Cortex-M and Cortex-A architecturen
- Knowledge of ARM assembly languagen
- Proficiency with ARM toolchain and other tool vendor toolchains like IARn
- Proficiency with using tools (e.g. GIT, JIRA, make, etc.) for embedded software developmentn
- Knowledge of embedded debug tools and probes (e.g. Lauterbach, J-Link)n
- Experience in developing secure, hardened bare-metal software solutions, bootloader application targeted for ROM or OTP memoriesn
- Experience in Storage devices, UFS (Universal Flash Storage), SPI NOR, eMMC, SD, Flash NAND, USB, etc., that are generally used as boot devicen
- Experience with pre-silicon emulators and associa
