Job DescriptionRole : Software Application Engineer (Vision)
nLocation: Bengaluru
nExperience: 1-3 Years
nWhat you will do :
n1. Work with senior engineers to set up and maintain industrial camera and lighting
nsystems for EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services) defect detection.
n2. Learn to calculate camera, lens, and lighting parameters — sensor size, field of view,
ndepth of field — and apply them to achieve repeatable image capture on the factory
nfloor.
n3. Assist in designing lighting configurations that make specific manufacturing defects
nclearly visible.
n4. Build a working understanding of radiometry, photometry, and photogrammetry as
napplied to calibration and optical inspection.
n5. Support camera calibration, stereo vision setups, and depth estimation experiments
nunder guidance.
n6. Apply classical image processing and computer vision techniques (OpenCV) to
npreprocess images, extract features, and prototype deterministic inspection algorithms.
n7. Help integrate vision software with factory workflows and production systems.
n8. Capture,



validate, and curate high-quality image datasets for model training and
nevaluation.
nPreferred Qualification :
n1. Bachelor's/Master's in CS, EC, or related branches; candidates from other backgrounds
nwith a strong skill match are also considered.
n2. Robust fundamentals in Deep Learning (vision models, modern architectures) along with
nLinear Algebra and 3D Geometry for optics and machine vision.
n3. Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, OOP, and multithreading/concurrency basics.
n4. Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Bash; C++ exposure is a plus.
n5. Sound understanding of database management concepts — schema design, indexing,
nnormalization, and query optimization.
