Job Brief

We are looking for an experienced VDI Support Engineer to join our team in Singapore for a long-term opportunity.

You will provide L3 support for VDI environments and help keep virtual desktops secure, stable, and easy to use. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Citrix, VMware Horizon, Microsoft Azure, FSLogix, and App-V.

Responsibilities

- Provide L3 support for the VMware Horizon VDI environment.
- Troubleshoot complex issues related to VDI connectivity, performance, availability, and user experience.
- Manage and support Horizon Connection Servers, UAG, Instant Clones, and related components.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent solutions for recurring issues.
- Manage gold images, patching, application delivery, and desktop updates.
- Monitor VDI health, capacity, performance, and availability to meet SLA targets.
- Support and troubleshoot Citrix, VMware Horizon, Azure, FSLogix, and App-V environments.
- Work closely with infrastructure, network, security, and EUC teams to resolve complex issues.
- Implement and maintain security policies and access controls within the VDI environment.
- Use Power Shell and scripting to automate routine tasks and improve support operations.
- Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides.
- Prepare system health reports and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to improve VDI performance, stability, security, and user experience.

Qualifications





- 8 10+ years of overall IT experience with strong experience in VDI support.
- Strong hands-on experience in VMware Horizon and enterprise VDI environments.
- Experience supporting Citrix environments.
- Good knowledge of VMware Horizon View, Connection Servers, UAG, Instant Clones, and VDI components.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based virtual desktop environments.
- Hands-on experience with FSLogix profiles and application management.
- Experience with Microsoft App-V.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across VDI, network, authentication, profile, and application issues.
- Experience in L3 support, incident management, escalation handling, and RCA.
- Positive knowledge of Power Shell and scripting for automation.
- Experience with VDI image management, patching, application delivery, and capacity planning.
- Good understanding of security and access controls.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with global technical teams.
