The ideal candidate should possess solid knowledge of radiology procedures, ultrasound/sonography coding guidelines, payer-specific requirements, and compliance standards.Key ResponsibilitiesReview and analyze medical records, radiology reports, physician documentation, and diagnostic imaging records.Assign accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS,



and modifiers for Radiology and Sonography encounters.Code services related to:Diagnostic RadiologyUltrasound / SonographyCT ScanMRIMammographyNuclear MedicineInterventional RadiologyEnsure coding accuracy and compliance with payer regulations and coding guidelines.Identify documentation gaps and communicate clarification requirements.Perform audits and quality reviews to maintain coding accuracy standards.Meet assigned productivity and quality targets.Stay updated with annual coding guideline changes and payer-specific updates.Required SkillsStrong knowledge of:ICD-10-CMCPT CodingHCPCSModifiersNCCI EditsLCD/NCD GuidelinesExpertise in Radiology and Sonography coding concepts.Familiarity with anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.Knowledge of US healthcare reimbursement methodologies and payer requirements.Good analytical and communication skills.EligibilityExperience in Radiology Coding / Diagnostic Imaging Coding.Experience in Sonography / Ultrasound coding preferred.Certified coder with any of the following:CPCCCSCICCOCCRC (preferred)
