Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer with a strong foundation in Java development and Microservices architecture. The ideal candidate should have started their career as a Java Developer, gained hands-on experience building and supporting Microservices-based applications, and evolved into a DevOps-focused role.

This position is primarily DevOps-oriented (approximately 70%), with additional responsibilities involving Azure API Management (APIM) and cloud platform support. The candidate will work closely with Development, Infrastructure, and Cloud teams to automate, optimize, and maintain scalable application deployment and operational processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for enterprise applications.
- Automate build, deployment, monitoring, and release management processes.
- Support and optimize Java and Microservices-based applications across environments.
- Manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management best practices.
- Monitor application and infrastructure health, troubleshoot production issues, and drive root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with development teams to improve application reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Manage and support Azure cloud services and Azure API Management (APIM).
- Ensure security, compliance, and governance standards are followed throughout the DevOps lifecycle.




- Participate in platform administration, environment management, and release planning activities.

Required Skills

Development Background

- Strong hands-on experience in Java development.
- Experience building and supporting Microservices-based applications.
- Understanding of REST APIs, Spring Boot, and distributed architectures.

DevOps Expertise

- Robust experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or ARM templates.
- Strong knowledge of Git and version control practices.
- Experience with application monitoring and logging tools.

Cloud & Platform

- Good experience with Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with Azure API Management (APIM).
- Understanding of Azure networking, security, and cloud-native services.

Additional Skills

- Linux administration and scripting (Shell/Python).
- Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Azure DevOps services.
- Azure Certifications are a plus.
- Exposure to SRE practices and platform engineering concepts.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale production environments.
