Job Summary
n
We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Microservices Engineer with strong expertise in Java, Microservices, AWS, distributed systems, and payment technologies.
n
The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience designing and developing scalable backend systems using Java and Spring Boot, along with strong knowledge of AWS cloud services and modern microservices architectures. A strong understanding of the payments domain, particularly ACH, RTP, Zelle, SWIFT, and Federal Reserve (FED) payment systems, is highly important for this role.

The candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering highly available, secure, resilient, and scalable payment solutions while working closely with architects, product teams, security, DevOps, and other engineering teams.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
Java & Microservices Development
n
n
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
n
- Build and enhance cloud-native microservices supporting high-volume payment processing.
n
- Develop secure and resilient RESTful APIs and service integrations.
n
- Apply strong object-oriented design, design patterns, clean coding practices, and SOLID principles.
n
- Develop highly maintainable, testable, and production-ready code.
n
- Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance to other engineers.
n
- Troubleshoot complex application and production issues.
n
- Continuously improve application performance, scalability, and maintainability.

Payments Domain
n
n
- Design and develop solutions supporting payment processing and financial transaction workflows.

- Demonstrate strong understanding of payment rails and financial messaging, including:

- Zelle: Digital account-to-account payment flows and associated transaction processing.
