Job Summary

n

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Spring Boot Developer to design, develop, and support scalable backend services for retail and supply chain platforms.

n

This role is ideal for engineers with 8 - 10 years of hands-on Java development experience who have worked with Warehouse Management (WMS), Order Management (OMS), Supply Chain, Retail, or other high-volume transactional systems.

n

n

Candidates with direct OMS/WMS experience will be a strong fit. However, engineers with backend development experience in adjacent domains and a solid understanding of complex business workflows, integrations, APIs, and distributed systems are also encouraged to apply.

n

The ideal candidate will be comfortable taking ownership of technical solutions, contributing to architecture and design decisions, and working closely with product, business, QA, and DevOps teams.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Analyze business and functional requirements and translate them into technical designs, solutions, and effort estimates.
n
- Design and develop scalable, high-performance backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
n
- Build, enhance, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices supporting retail and supply chain workflows.
n




- Develop and support functionality across order management, inventory, fulfillment, warehouse, and logistics domains.
n
- Design and implement integrations with upstream and downstream systems such as e-commerce platforms, WMS, ERP, payment systems, and logistics providers.
n
- Participate in solution design and architecture discussions, evaluating technical approaches and trade-offs.
n
- Translate complex business requirements into clean, scalable, maintainable, and reusable technical solutions.
n
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and contribute to root cause analysis, performance optimization, and system reliability.
n
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, security, performance, scalability, and reliability best practices.
n
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams.
n
- Conduct and participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
n
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers and provide technical guidance within the team.
n
- Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
n




- Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering practices, development processes, system architecture, and technical standards.

Required Technical Skills

n

n
- 8 - 10 years of hands-on software development experience with Java/J2EE.
n
- Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
n
- Strong experience with Hibernate/JPA and ORM concepts.
n
- Proven experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
n
- Strong understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns, data structures, and software engineering principles.
n
- Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar; exposure to NoSQL databases is a plus.
n
- Experience with Git or other version control systems.
n
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
n
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automated deployment processes.
n
- Exposure to at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
n
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, API integrations, and enterprise application development.
n
