Purpose of the Role
The role is responsible for managing end-to-end Engine Assembly Line production operations, ensuring adherence to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Morale (SQDCM) parameters while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement in day-to-day activities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production & Technical Management
- Ensure effective execution of engine assembly operations on the production line.
- Drive dimensional management and conduct dimensional variation analysis.
- Engine build and assembly processes
- Engine testing procedures
- Perform technical root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions.
- Manage manpower planning, line balancing, and optimal resource utilization.

2. Operational Excellence & Performance Management
- Manage production as per defined targets aligned with SQDCM parameters.
- Drive daily production planning and ensure achievement of output targets.
- Safety compliance
- Product quality
- Delivery timelines
- Cost efficiency
- Allocate and optimize manpower across sub-areas based on production needs.

3. Build Integrity & Process Improvement
- Drive dimensional maturation and ensure build quality/integrity.
- Diagnose engine failures and perform troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders for process optimization.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

Desired Candidate Profile
- Education: B.E. / B.Tech (Mechanical/Automobile preferred)
- Experience: 5–10 years in engine assembly / manufacturing operations
- MS Excel
- MS Project
