Senior Snowflake Data Engineer

Sembridge is looking for a Senior Snowflake Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize enterprise-scale data platforms. The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on experience with Snowflake and hold a valid Snowflake certification.

What You'll Do

n

n
- Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines and transformation workflows using Snowflake.
n
- Build robust ELT/ETL solutions leveraging SQL, Python, Snowpark, dbt, and Snowflake-native capabilities.
n
- Modernize existing data-processing pipelines using reusable engineering patterns and incremental processing.
n
- Implement Snowflake features such as Dynamic Tables, Streams, Tasks, and Stored Procedures.
n
- Improve platform performance and optimize costs through query tuning, clustering strategies, and warehouse optimization.
n
- Develop data models, orchestration frameworks, monitoring, testing, and data quality solutions.
n
- Integrate batch and real-time data using tools such as Fivetran, Kafka, Airflow, or similar technologies.
n
- Collaborate with architects, DevOps teams, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, production-ready data solutions.
n
- Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, Agile ceremonies,



and continuous improvement initiatives.
n
- Provide hands-on technical contribution across development, troubleshooting, optimization, and production implementation.

What We're Looking For

n

7+ years of experience in Data Engineering with strong, hands-on expertise in Snowflake.

n

Hands-on Snowflake experience is mandatory.

n

Strong technical expertise in:

- Snowflake & Snowpark

- Advanced SQL
n
- Python

- ELT/ETL Pipeline Development
n
- dbt
n
- Data Modeling
n
- Performance & Cost Optimization

Experience with:

- Dynamic Tables, Streams, Tasks, and Stored Procedures
n
- AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms
n
- CI/CD, Git, and automated deployment practices
n
- Data orchestration, monitoring, and pipeline optimization
n

Certification Requirement

n

Snowflake certification is mandatory. Candidates must hold a valid Snowflake certification, preferably SnowPro Core or SnowPro Advanced.

Preferred Qualifications

n

n
- Experience with Fivetran, Kafka, Airflow, or similar orchestration tools.
n
- Knowledge of Terraform or Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
n
- Experience with Snowflake Iceberg Tables or modern lakehouse architectures.
n
- Exposure to Snowflake Cortex capabilities.
n
- Additional cloud or data engineering certifications are a plus.
n
