• Planning for furnace pull and cullet changes
• Color campaigns in discussion with planning department
• Planning for trial and usage of raw materials
• Establish and set the operational control parameters target
• To ensure that the product meets all the quality/ environmental parameters
• Ensure high safety standards and efficient methods of working
• Ensure a very good communication system between him, his superior and his team members
• Ensure a healthy manpower management
• Implementation of company quality/ environmental policies & procedures
• Monitoring and measurement of process performance and initiate actions for continual improvement
• Planning for thickness changeover in co-ordination with cutting line and planning department
• Co-ordination with furnace and batch house for implementation of pull, feeder run depending on critical thickness to be produced and for reflectasol
• Co-ordination with cold end
• Co-ordination with the tech services team for equipment maintenance and breakdowns.
• Handling product and environmental emergencies
