The EHS Engineer shall be responsible for implementation, monitoring, and continual improvement of Setting, Health, and Safety systems across all construction activities in compliance with statutory regulations, project specifications, company EHS standards, and contractual requirements. The function shall conduct hazard identification and risk assessment, monitor Permit-to-Work (PTW) compliance, carry out routine safety inspections, audits, and surveillance, and ensure implementation of approved control measures at site. The role includes monitoring high-risk activities such as work at height, lifting operations, excavation, confined space entry, electrical works, and hot work to ensure compliance with established safety procedures.
The function shall coordinate with execution teams, subcontractors, plant and machinery personnel, and project stakeholders to promote secure work practices, ensure PPE compliance, facilitate safety inductions and toolbox talks, investigate incidents and near misses, monitor closure of observations, maintain statutory records and EHS documentation, support emergency preparedness and response activities, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to achieve an incident-free work environment while fostering a solid safety culture across the project.
