ENGINEERING ESTIMATORJob Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Engineering Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates, quotations, and material/labour calculations for engineering projects. The candidate will work closely with the engineering, procurement, and project teams to ensure competitive and commercially viable estimates.

Key Responsibilities
Review engineering drawings, BOQs, specifications, and project requirements.
Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labour, equipment, and other project requirements.
Prepare quotations and commercial proposals based on project specifications.
Obtain and evaluate material and service quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
Analyse project requirements and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Prepare quantity take-offs and verify material requirements.
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, production, and project teams for accurate estimation.
Compare actual project costs with estimated costs and identify variations.
Maintain estimation records, costing sheets, and quotation databases.
Ensure estimates are prepared within project deadlines.
Support tender preparation, bid submissions, and commercial negotiations when required.

Required Qualifications
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Civil,



Electrical, or relevant Engineering discipline.
2–5 years of experience in engineering estimation or a related role.
Robust knowledge of engineering drawings, BOQs, specifications, and quantity take-offs.
Positive knowledge of MS Excel and estimation/costing tools.
Ability to analyse technical and commercial requirements.
Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
Good communication and negotiation skills.
Attention to detail and ability to work within deadlines.

Preferred Skills
Experience in preparing project quotations and tenders.
Knowledge of material pricing and supplier evaluation.
Understanding of engineering materials, fabrication, machinery, or industrial projects.
Experience with ERP/CRM or project management software is an advantage.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
