Location: Bengaluru
n
Experience: 1-3 Years
n
What you will do :
n
n
1. Assist in building and maintaining the hardware backbone of our EMS defect detection
n
systems — camera triggers, lighting controllers, and sensor interfaces.
n
2. Develop and test firmware on microcontrollers (STM32/ESP32-class) for controlling
n
lighting, synchronizing camera capture, and reading sensors.
n
3. Implement and debug communication between cameras, sensors, PLCs, and hardware
n
controllers using standard industrial protocols.
n
4. Support the electrical bring-up of vision stations: reading schematics and datasheets,
n
wiring, and validating hardware on the bench and factory floor.
n
5. Use oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters to debug timing, signal, and
n
integration issues.
n
6. Write Python scripts for test automation and hardware validation.
n
7. Learn PLC programming and assist in integrating vision hardware with production line
n
workflows.
n
8. Grow toward PCB design and more advanced embedded Linux/RTOS work as the
n
systems mature.
n
n
Preferred Qualification :
n
1. Bachelor‘s/Master‘s in EC, EE, CS, or related branches; candidates from other
n
backgrounds with a strong skill match are also considered.
n
2. Strong fundamentals in C/C++ for embedded development, with Python for scripting and
n
test automation.
n
3. Solid understanding of microcontrollers (STM32/ESP32 or similar) — GPIO, timers,
n
interrupts, DMA — along with RTOS and embedded Linux basics.
n
4. Knowledge of communication protocols for sensor, camera, and PLC integration with
n
hardware controllers.
n
5. Hands-on debugging skills using oscilloscope, logic analyzer, and multimeter, with the
n
ability to read schematics and datasheets; exposure to PLC programming and
n
willingness to learn PCB design.
n
n
NMTronics (NEST Division) builds automation solutions for the Electronics Manufacturing
n
Services (EMS) industry. As part of this role, the candidate is expected to be eager to learn
n
about EMS manufacturing processes during the initial stages of onboarding, and to stay adaptable
n
in picking up a wide range of technical skills. This learning mindset is essential, as the role
n
involves supporting and contributing across the entire product development lifecycle — from
n
understanding the factory floor to helping build and refine the final product.
