Job Description
Python Developer – Data Platform & Middleware
n
n
MSH Business Consulting Pvt. Ltd. | Bangalore / Kolkata
n
n
Build the data backbone of MSH’s next-generation talent platform.
n
n
MSH is building an AI-first talent technology platform designed to make sourcing, matching and hiring smarter, faster and more data-driven.
n
n
We already have platforms powering different parts of the talent ecosystem. Now, we’re building the data and middleware layer that connects them — creating a reliable shared foundation that multiple systems can work from.
n
n
We’re looking for a Python Developer who enjoys solving complex data problems, building production-grade services and working at the intersection of Python, data engineering, APIs and AI.
n
n
This is a role where you will help shape the architecture — not simply maintain an existing application.
n
n
What You’ll Work On
n
n
As part of the engineering team, you will:
n
n
n
- Build a shared middleware data layer connecting multiple MSH platforms
n
- Develop a persistent, system-agnostic Candidate ID to solve identity and deduplication challenges across systems
n
- Design Candidate–Job data models that track candidate stages, contact attempts and match scores for individual jobs
n
- Build reliable data pipelines from Snowflake and other source systems
n
- Identify and resolve data quality issues before they reach downstream systems
n
- Design data and access boundaries for client-owned and shared data
n
- Build APIs and services that multiple downstream systems can depend on
n
- Contribute to the architecture and implementation of a 16-service middleware roadmap
n
- Help establish the foundation for future AI/LLM-powered candidate-job intelligence
n
n
n
Technology You'll Work With
n
Core: Python, SQL, REST APIs / Services
n
Data: Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Cloud Data Warehouses
n
Orchestration: Airflow, dbt, Prefect
n
Cloud: AWS, GCP, Azure
n
DevOps: Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD
n
Architecture: Data Modelling, Entity Resolution, Multi-Tenant Design
n
n
What We're Looking For
n
n
You should have:
n
n
- 4–7 years of professional Python development experience
n
- Strong experience building production-grade data pipelines
n
- Strong SQL skills
n
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake or a comparable cloud data warehouse
n
- Experience working with ETL/ELT pipelines
n
- Experience with Airflow, dbt, Prefect or equivalent orchestration tools
n
- Experience designing data models for real-world problems such as deduplication, identity resolution and unreliable source data
n
- Experience building REST APIs/services or backend components consumed by multiple systems
n
- Understanding of data privacy, access control and multi-tenant architecture
n
- Hands-on experience with at least one cloud platform — AWS, GCP or Azure
n
- Strong engineering judgment and the ability to participate in architecture and design decisions
n
n
n
AI-First Engineering Environment
n
n
AI is an integral part of how we expect our engineering teams to work.
n
n
Every engineer receives a monthly AI tooling budget for tools such as Claude, GitHub Copilot or equivalent.
n
n
We expect you to use AI actively in your development workflow and demonstrate how it helps you:
n
n
- Deliver faster
n
- Improve code quality
n
- Reduce bugs
n
- Make better technical decisions
n
- Explore and solve problems more effectively
n
n
n
You don't need to be an AI/ML specialist. We are looking for engineers who are curious about AI and know how to use it effectively in their work.
n
n
Good to Have
n
Experience with:
n
n
- LLM-based candidate or job scoring
n
- OpenAI API or similar LLM APIs
n
- AI-enabled data products
n
- Entity resolution or identity management
n
- Talent/recruitment technology
n
n
n
Why Join This Team?
n
Build the foundation, not just features
n
You'll be working on the core data architecture that future MSH talent intelligence capabilities will depend on.
n
Solve real engineering problems
n
Messy identities, inconsistent data, multiple systems and complex client boundaries — this is production engineering, not a tutorial project.
n
Influence architecture
n
You'll have the chance to contribute to technical decisions and challenge existing approaches when you see a better way.
n
Work AI-first
n
You'll have access to the tools and budget to make AI a meaningful part of your engineering workflow.
