About the Role

We are looking for a Mobile App Engineer (React Native) to strengthen our app engineering team's delivery and production reliability. This role is focused on four areas the team needs additional depth in: managing OTA (over-the-air) updates and release troubleshooting, taking on extra delivery capacity during high-volume periods, providing backup support for critical production issues, and supporting Firebase A/B testing end-to-end. You'll work closely with the existing

mobile team, product, and QA to keep releases smooth and experiments moving.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Set up, configure, and troubleshoot OTA (over-the-air) updates for the React Native app, and support release-related issues end-to-end (build, rollout, rollback).
n
- Take on additional feature and bug-fix tickets during high-volume sprints so the core app team can deliver on schedule.
n
- Act as backup technical support for critical or time-sensitive production issues on the app, including triage, root-cause analysis, and fixes.
n
- Set up, validate, debug, and help launch Firebase A/B tests, working with product to define variants, tracking, and success metrics.
n
- Build and maintain reusable UI components, navigation, state management, offline handling, and deep linking within the existing React Native codebase.

- Integrate app features with REST APIs, GraphQL, and third-party services, including Shopify backed endpoints.
n




- Monitor app performance (startup time, memory usage, rendering, network requests) and help resolve regressions.
n
- Work within existing CI/CD pipelines (Git/GitHub, automated builds) and support App Store / Play Store release processes.
n
- Use analytics platforms such as Firebase Analytics or WebEngage to validate feature and experiment performance.

What We're Looking For

n

n
- 3–4 years of experience building and shipping production React Native apps.
n
- Hands-on experience with OTA update mechanisms (e.g., CodePush or equivalent) and app release/rollout processes.
n
- Practical experience setting up and debugging Firebase A/B tests (Firebase Analytics).
n
- Strong JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals, with solid understanding of React Native architecture, navigation, and state management.
n
- Experience troubleshooting production issues under time pressure, with a calm, structured debugging approach.
n
- Familiarity with REST API and third-party service integrations; exposure to Shopify-backed mobile apps is a plus.
n
- Comfortable working with Git/GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and App Store/Play Store release workflows.

- Experience in a D2C or e-commerce app environment.

- Exposure to GraphQL and offline-first app patterns.

- Familiarity with crash reporting and monitoring tools (e.g., Crashlytics, Sentry).
