We are seeking a passionate and research-oriented Intern to support the design, development, and validation of Radio Frequency (RF) communication subsystems used in Red Balloon's aerostat, balloon, and near-space platforms.

Description

Key Responsibilities

RF System Design

‚Ģ Assist in design of RF communication links for telemetry and command

‚Ģ Support link budget analysis and frequency planning

‚Ģ Work on antenna selection, placement, and optimization

‚Ģ Contribute to ground station RF subsystem design

Integration & Testing

‚Ģ Support integration of RF modules with avionics systems

‚Ģ Perform RF testing including power measurements, sensitivity tests, and range tests

‚Ģ Assist in troubleshooting RF issues and interference problems

Documentation & Analysis

‚Ģ Document RF system specifications, test plans,



and results

‚Ģ Analyze RF performance data and recommend improvements

‚Ģ Support regulatory compliance for RF operations

Requirements

‚Ģ Pursuing or completed B.Tech/M.Tech in Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field

‚Ģ Understanding of RF principles, modulation techniques, and antenna theory

‚Ģ Familiarity with RF test equipment and measurement techniques

‚Ģ Basic knowledge of wireless communication standards

‚Ģ Experience with simulation tools (ADS, CST, or similar) preferred

‚Ģ Solid analytical skills and attention to detail

‚Ģ Positive communication and documentation abilities
