The Assistant Professor in Physiotherapy is responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, supervising clinical training, guiding research, and contributing to academic and administrative functions. The role focuses on developing competent physiotherapy specialists with strong clinical and research skills.
Key Responsibilities1. Teaching & Academic Duties
Teach undergraduate (BPT) and postgraduate (MPT) students
Subjects may include (based on specialization):
Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy
Neurological Physiotherapy
Cardiopulmonary Physiotherapy
Exercise Therapy & Rehabilitation
Prepare lesson plans, lecture materials, and case-based discussions
Conduct internal assessments, exams, and viva voce
Use up-to-date teaching methods (simulation, evidence-based practice)
Clinical Training & Supervision
Supervise students during hospital/clinical postings
Train students in:
Patient assessment & diagnosis
Treatment planning and rehabilitation protocols
Use of physiotherapy modalities and equipment
Ensure patient safety and ethical clinical practice
Research & Publications
Conduct research in physiotherapy or rehabilitation sciences
Publish papers in indexed/national journals
Guide student dissertations and research projects
Curriculum & Academic Development
Assist in curriculum design and syllabus updates
Implement competency-based education (CBE)
Develop teaching-learning materials and SOPs
Administrative Responsibilities
Maintain student records and academic documentation
Participate in NAAC/NABH/NMC-related academic work (as applicable)
Serve on institutional committees (exam cell, research, ethics, etc.)

Attend workshops, CMEs, FDPs (Faculty Development Programs)
Stay updated with the latest physiotherapy techniques and research
Eligibility CriteriaEducational Qualification
MPT (Master of Physiotherapy) in relevant specialization
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00
