Job Title: Material Planning Engineer - Structural Steel

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare raw material requirement plans based on fabrication drawings and production schedules
Perform quantity take-offs from GA & shop drawings
Plan procurement of structural steel (plates, beams, channels, angles, pipes, etc.)
Monitor stock levels, consumption, and maintain min/max inventory levels
Coordinate with purchase team for timely material availability
Track supplier lead times and prevent production shortages
Prepare nesting plans to optimize material utilization and reduce scrap
Ensure timely material issuance to fabrication team
Maintain ERP/MRP records and prepare material consumption reports
Support audits and ensure material traceability (MTC documentation)

Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of structural steel materials and fabrication processes




Ability to read and interpret structural drawings
Experience in inventory control and material optimization
Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / similar)
Positive understanding of material traceability & ISO quality systems
Robust analytical, planning, and coordination skills
Proficient in MS Excel

Key KPIs:
Zero production stoppage due to material shortage
Improved inventory turnover ratio
Reduction in scrap percentage
On-time material availability

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
