The Assistant Professor in Anaesthesia and Operation Theatre Technology is responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or postgraduate students, supporting clinical training in operation theatre settings, and contributing to academic, research, and administrative activities within the institution.
Key Responsibilities1. Teaching & Academic Duties
Anaesthesia techniques
Operation theatre procedures
Patient monitoring
Surgical instrumentation
Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments
Conduct practical and simulation-based training for students
Evaluate student performance (theory & clinical)
Clinical Training & Supervision
Supervise students in operation theatres during clinical postings
Train students in:
Pre-operative and post-operative care
Sterilization and infection control
Handling anaesthesia equipment
Ensure adherence to hospital safety protocols
Research & Development
Conduct and publish research in anaesthesia or allied health sciences
Guide student research projects and dissertations
Attend and present at conferences, workshops, and seminars
Administrative Responsibilities
Participate in curriculum development and updates
Maintain academic records and documentation
Assist in accreditation and compliance processes (e.g., regulatory bodies)
Serve on academic committees when required

Stay updated with latest advancements in anaesthesia and OT technology
Engage in continuous medical education (CME) programs
Eligibility CriteriaEducational Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Operation Theatre Technology / Anaesthesia Technology
Master’s degree (M.Sc. OTT / Anaesthesia Technology or relevant field)
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
