Job Overview

Responsibilities
Coordinate daily welding and fabrication activities as per production schedule.
Supervise fabrication of transformer tanks, radiator panels, headers, conservators, and related components.
Manage welders, fitters, grinders, and helpers for optimum productivity.
Ensure welding as per approved drawings, specifications, and WPS.
Monitor fit-up, alignment, welding parameters, and distortion control.
Ensure leak-proof welding quality for tanks and radiators.
Coordinate hydro test, pneumatic test, vacuum test, and quality inspections.
Reduce rejection, rework, and production delays.
Ensure availability of welding consumables, gases, tools, and machines.
Maintain safety standards, PPE compliance, and housekeeping.

Requirements:




ITI / Diploma in Mechanical / Welding / Fabrication or equivalent.
5+ years experience in transformer tank / radiator fabrication.
Positive knowledge of MIG, TIG, SMAW, FCAW welding processes.
Ability to read fabrication drawings and welding symbols.
Solid leadership and team handling skills.
Knowledge of leak testing and quality standards preferred.
