The Road Engineer will be responsible for planning, execution, and supervision of road construction activities, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and execute road construction works including earthwork, GSB, WMM/WBM, DBM, BC, and asphalt paving:
Interpret GFC drawings, alignment drawings, cross-sections, and profiles:
Coordinate with survey, QA/QC, plant, and subcontractor teams
Ensure work execution as per MoRTH, IRC, and project specifications:
Monitor daily site progress and prepare Daily Progress Reports (DPR):
Check and certify measurements, quantities, and MB (Measurement Book):
Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards:
Coordinate with consultants and client engineers for inspections and approvals
Track material consumption and manage site resources efficiently
Support billing engineers with quantity verification and RA bills
Technical Skills & Knowledge
Solid knowledge of road construction methods & materials:
Familiarity with MoRTH, IRC, IS Codes:
Experience in bituminous works, paving operations, and QA testing:
Understanding of survey instruments and setting out works:
Working knowledge of MS Excel, AutoCAD, and basic project documentation
Qualifications
B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Civil Engineering:
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in road/highway projects
Behavioral & Soft Skills
Valuable coordination and communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Robust problem-solving and decision-making ability
Team player with a proactive approach
Preferred Experience (Added Advantage)
Experience in NH/SH/PMGSY/Urban Road projects:
Exposure to EPC or HAM projects:
Experience working with consultants like IRC / NHAI-appointed engineers
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
