Description:
The Junior Engineer role is for someone at the start of their engineering career. They are involved in specific, defined tasks and are supported by other engineers to deliver, whilst building their domain knowledge. They are aware of and seek to fully understand the department strategies, practices, toolkits and processes.

Autonomy:Works under close direction. Uses little discretion in attending to enquiries. Is expected to seek guidance in unexpected situations.
Influence:Minimal influence. May work alone or interact with immediate colleagues.
Complexity:Performs routine activities in a structured environment. Requires assistance in resolving unexpected problems. Participates in the generation of recent ideas.
Knowledge:Has a basic generic knowledge appropriate to area of work. Applies newly acquired knowledge to develop recent skills.

Aim for individual engineering excellence and quality through appropriate use of analysis tools, control gates and peer reviews by inculcating news ways of thinking to improve design, productivity, and quality
Show interest in the evaluation of emerging technologies, models, methods etc. on an ongoing basis to enable competitive differentiation and strengthening of existing product technology; involve yourself in adoption of these within your squad as required
Be proficient in and, where possible contribute towards optimization of, the engineering lifecycle through a systematic knowledge management and continuous learning process to better enable the organization to meet market and client needs
