Key Responsibilities
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors.
Obtain quotations and compare prices to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors.
Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs).
Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Coordinate with internal departments to understand procurement requirements.
Maintain accurate purchase records, vendor databases, and documentation.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in planning procurement activities.
Resolve issues related to material shortages, quality concerns, or delayed deliveries.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
Required Skills:
Robust negotiation and communication skills.
Valuable knowledge of procurement and purchasing processes.
Proficiency in MS Excel and Microsoft Office.
Robust analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with ERP/Procurement software is an advantage.
Knowledge of vendor management and inventory control.
Familiarity with GST and basic purchase documentation is preferred.
