Purpose of the Role :
Responsible for developing target costing, should costing, tooling cost estimation, and cost reduction strategies for any one Interior/Exterior Trims, Seating, Electrical, and Electronics components. The role supports Design-to-Cost (DTC) and Source-to-Cost (STC) initiatives through benchmarking, teardown analysis, VAVE, supplier cost analysis, and manufacturing cost optimization.
Key Responsibilities :
Develop detailed should-cost models and target costs for any one i.e Body Trim, Electrical, and Electronics components.
Prepare tooling cost estimates and support Capex planning.
Perform supplier quotation analysis and support commercial negotiations.
Conduct cost driver analysis, benchmarking, competition teardown, and VAVE activities.
Drive cost reduction and cost avoidance initiatives with Engineering and Purchase teams.
Develop cost models and technology repositories for component categories.
Support sourcing decisions through should-cost-based negotiation fact packs.
Execute annual cost-saving and value-engineering initiatives.
