TURBINE DCS ENGINEER

DESIGNATION: TURBINE DCS OPERATOR / ENGINEER
ROLE: TURBINE DCS ENGINEER
DEPARTMENT: CAPTIVE POWER PLANT - OPERATIONS
REPORTS TO: ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER – CAPTIVE POWER PLANT - OPERATIONS
LOCATION: KHUNTI, CHOWKA-KANDRA ROAD, JHARKHAND
Responsibilities
Production Optimization: Maximize daily hot metal production while maintaining consistent quality within specified limits. Oversee areas of Control Room, Cast House, PCM, Dry GCP, Stove.
Fuel Efficiency: Minimize coke rate and optimize fuel injection (coal, oil, gas) to improve thermal efficiency and reduce operating costs.
Process Stability: Monitor and control key process parameters (blast temperature, pressure, top gas composition, etc.) to ensure reliable and productive furnace operation.
Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve process upsets (e.g. Low production, abnormal temperatures) to minimize downtime and production losses.
Performance Monitoring: Collect, analyze,
and interpret process data to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify areas for improvement.
Reporting: Prepare regular reports on blast furnace performance, including production, efficiency, and cost data, for management review.
Equipment Monitoring: Monitor the condition and performance of critical equipment (e.g., tuyeres, coolers, stoves) to identify potential problems and plan maintenance activities.
Qualifications
Minimum Experience of 5 -7 Years in Blast Furnace Operations.
Diploma / B. TECH in Metallurgy/Mechanical Engineering
Job Perks
I.T.I / Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in DCS-based turbine operations
Familiarity with DCS systems like Siemens, Yokogawa, ABB, or Honeywell
Understanding of turbine auxiliaries like governing system, lube oil system, and condenser units
