The Collection Executive is responsible for recovering due and overdue payments on personal loans from borrowers. The role involves regular follow-up with customers, negotiating repayment plans, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Loan Recovery & Follow-up
Contact customers with due and overdue personal and pay day loan payments via phone, email, or visits.
Negotiate and facilitate repayment plans or settlements.
Track and document recovery status and payment commitments.
Customer Handling
Address queries and concerns of customers regarding their loans.
Educate borrowers on the consequences of non-payment.
Maintain qualified and ethical behavior while dealing with customers.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate records of interactions and recoveries.
Provide daily/weekly/monthly reports to the Collection Manager.
Update CRM systems or collection software with real-time data.
Compliance & Legal
Ensure collection practices comply with RBI guidelines and company policies.
Assist in initiating legal proceedings when necessary.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Excellent communication and negotiation skills. English speaking is must.
Customer-centric approach
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
Knowledge of lending/collections process
Basic computer and data entry skills, preferably excel knowledge
Integrity and patience in handling difficult customers
Qualifications:
Education: Minimum Graduate in any discipline
Experience: 1–3 years in collections, preferably in personal loans or pay day or unsecured lending
Language: Proficiency in local language and Hindi/English
Performance Metrics:
Recovery rate (% of overdue amount collected)
Number of successful closures
TAT (Turnaround Time) for recovery actions
Customer complaints or escalations
