The Associate Director, Project Finance - Oil / Gas will play a pivotal role in originating, structuring, and executing complex project finance transactions within the dynamic oil and gas sector. This senior-level position requires a deep understanding of project finance principles, extensive experience in the energy industry, and a proven track record of successfully closing deals. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial modeling capabilities, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams. This role involves significant client interaction, strategic analysis, and the mentorship of junior staff, contributing directly to the growth and profitability of the firm's energy finance portfolio.
Lead the origination and execution of project finance mandates for oil and gas projects, including upstream, midstream, downstream, and petrochemical facilities.
Develop and maintain solid relationships with key clients, sponsors, financial institutions, and legal advisors within the oil and gas sector.
Conduct comprehensive financial modeling, analysis, and due diligence to assess project viability, risks, and returns.




Structure creative and competitive financing solutions, including debt, equity, and hybrid instruments, tailored to specific project requirements.
Prepare detailed credit proposals, investment memoranda, and presentations for internal credit committees and external stakeholders.
Negotiate term sheets, financing agreements, and other legal documentation with clients, lenders, and legal counsel.
Manage transaction timelines, coordinate internal and external resources, and ensure smooth execution from mandate to financial close.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering their career development in project finance.
Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements impacting the global oil and gas industry and project finance landscape.
Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with project finance transactions, including market, operational, environmental, and political risks.
Represent the firm at industry conferences, seminars, and client meetings to enhance market presence and generate new business opportunities.
