Key Responsibilities
Perform welding and fabrication work for mechanical equipment and structures.
Carry out Arc Welding, Gas Welding and basic cutting operations as required.
Perform welding work on plant equipment, pipelines, platforms, supports, chutes and structural components.
Conduct repair and maintenance welding on mechanical equipment.
Read and understand basic fabrication drawings and welding instructions.
Ensure proper alignment, fit-up and welding quality.
Identify cracks, defects and damaged components and carry out necessary repairs.
Handle welding machines, gas cutting equipment and related tools safely.
Follow all safety, PPE and work-permit procedures inside the steel plant.
Coordinate with fitters, supervisors and maintenance teams during breakdown and preventive maintenance activities.
Maintain proper housekeeping at the work area.





Required Skills
Positive knowledge of welding and fabrication techniques.
Experience in steel plant/mechanical maintenance will be preferred.
Knowledge of welding electrodes, welding machines and gas-cutting equipment.
Ability to work at height and in a plant workplace.
Basic understanding of mechanical equipment maintenance.
Robust focus on safety and quality.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in steel plants, rolling mills, SMS, furnace area, material handling systems, conveyors, chutes and structural fabrication will be preferred.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
