Job Description – Mechanical Engineer – BOBRN (Mechanism)

Position: Mechanical Engineer – BOBRN (Door Mechanism)
Location: Andal, West Bengal
Department: Mechanical Maintenance
Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DOM)
Employment Type: Full time

Budget:3 LPA-4 LPA

Job Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate mechanical maintenance activities related to BOBRN wagon unloading systems.
Inspect, operate, and maintain DOOR mechanisms and associated mechanical equipment.
Plan and execute preventive and breakdown maintenance activities
Inspect cylinders, valves, linkages, pins, bearings, gearboxes, and other mechanical components.
Monitor equipment performance and identify potential breakdowns.
Ensure proper lubrication, alignment, and condition of mechanical components.
Coordinate with technicians, welder, operators, and CHP operations teams.
Support the team during major shutdowns, inspections,



and emergency breakdown maintenance.

Qualification
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Door Mechanism) – Mandatory.
Mechanical Engineering candidates with relevant wagon maintainence preferably from railway background experience will be preferred.

Experience
Experience in CHP, power plant, coal handling, railway wagon unloading, or heavy industrial mechanical maintenance preferred.
Candidates with relevant mechanical maintenance experience will be given preference.

Key Requirement

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering-B Tech (DOM) is mandatory.

BOBRN/CHP mechanical maintenance experience will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹400,000.00 per year
