Role Summary

We are looking for a Senior SAP ABAP Developer with 7–10 years of experience in SAP S/4HANA development. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in ABAP on S/4HANA, CDS Views, RAP, and OOABAP, along with positive knowledge of Fiori programming.

The role involves developing scalable SAP solutions, working closely with functional teams, and following up-to-date S/4HANA development and clean-core practices.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, enhance, and maintain SAP applications using ABAP on S/4HANA.
Develop and optimize CDS Views for data modelling and reporting.
Build applications and services using the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP).
Develop reusable and scalable solutions using Object-Oriented ABAP (OOABAP).
Work with functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Develop and expose OData services/APIs to support SAP and Fiori applications.
Support Fiori application development and integration with backend ABAP services.
Perform debugging, performance tuning, testing, and production issue resolution.




Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to SAP development standards and best practices.
Support deployment, documentation, and ongoing enhancement of SAP solutions.

Must-Have Skills
7–10 years of SAP ABAP development experience
Strong hands-on experience with ABAP on S/4HANA
Strong experience in CDS Views
Hands-on experience with RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model)
Strong knowledge of OOABAP
Valuable understanding of Fiori programming
Experience with OData services / APIs
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

Positive to Have
Experience with SAP Clean Core / extensibility
Knowledge of AMDP and performance optimization
Experience with SAP Gateway
Exposure to S/4HANA migration or implementation projects
Knowledge of Git, CI/CD, or modern SAP development practices

Qualification

BE/B.Tech/MCA/M.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a hands-on S/4HANA ABAP developer, not someone limited to traditional ECC ABAP. They should be comfortable working with modern SAP technologies such as CDS and RAP, understand OOABAP well, and have sufficient Fiori knowledge to work across the backend-to-UI development flow.
