Key Responsibilities
Balance Sheet & Financial Integrity
Review monthly, quarterly, and annual balance sheet reconciliations for real estate projects and corporate accounts.
Monitor project accounting, including work-in-progress (WIP), escrow accounts, and capital expenditures.
Track vendor advances, customer receivables, and loan or debt servicing schedules.
Ensure timely closure of books under relevant accounting standards (like AS,Ind-AS or IFRS).
Audit Duties
Act as the point of contact for internal, statutory, and tax auditors.
Prepare audit schedules, financial statements, and supporting documentation for real estate transactions.
Implement corrective action plans to resolve audit observations and compliance gaps.
Review internal controls over project billing, procurement, and cash flow management.
Generate and analyse financial reports to support management decision making.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely closure of accounts.
Regulatory & Statutory Compliance
Monitor adherence to real estate regulations (such as RERA guidelines, and corporate laws and working knowledge of tax compliances.
Coordinate with external statutory and tax auditors during periodic reviews .
Maintain up-to-date compliance calendars and report regulatory risks.
Track changes in financial and real estate legislation to update company policies.
Coordinate with legal teams for land titles documentation, and statutory registers.
Key Skills & Competencies
Robust understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Excellent knowledge of ERP software.
Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines.
Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Valuable interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
