Role & responsibilities
5+ years of experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable web applications using Angular, Node.js, and ExpressJS; React experience is an advantage.
JavaScript & TypeScript: Strong proficiency in modern JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript, with experience building scalable, maintainable, and high-performance applications.
API Development & Integrations: Strong experience designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs, integrating third-party services, and ensuring secure and reliable communication between systems.
Database Design & Optimization: Hands-on experience designing database schemas, writing optimized SQL queries, maintaining data integrity, and optimizing application and database performance using relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL; NoSQL experience is a plus.
AI-Assisted Development: Proficiency with AI coding assistants such as Claude, Codex, GitHub Copilot, Kiro, or similar tools to improve development productivity, debugging, testing, documentation, code reviews, and overall code quality.
Software Engineering Best Practices: Robust understanding of Git workflows, coding standards, code reviews, clean and maintainable code, RESTful API development,



and software testing methodologies.
Testing & Quality: Expertise in unit and integration testing, with a robust focus on delivering reliable, high-quality, well-tested, and maintainable applications.
AWS & Cloud: Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud environments, including SQS, SES, Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, and other related AWS services.
Agile Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with product owners, designers, QA engineers, and developers in an Agile/Scrum setting to deliver high-quality software on schedule.
Leadership & Ownership: Robust leadership skills with the ability to take ownership, provide technical direction, make informed decisions, mentor or guide team members, and drive the team toward achieving project goals.
Problem Solving & Adaptability: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues, communicate effectively, adapt to current technologies, and respond to evolving business requirements.

Availability and willingness to work night shifts aligned with Canadian time zones is mandatory.
