Job Summary

The Storekeeper is responsible for the receipt, inspection, storage, issuance, and accurate recording of materials to ensure efficient inventory control and uninterrupted operations.

Key Responsibilities
Receive and inspect materials; verify against purchase orders and report discrepancies, shortages, or damages.
Store items systematically, ensure optimal space utilization, and maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
Maintain accurate inventory records; monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
Conduct periodic stock verification, reconciliation, and implement FIFO for proper stock rotation.
Process material requests and coordinate with procurement, sales, and logistics for timely dispatch.
Maintain documentation, generate inventory reports, and support audits.
Ensure protected material handling and proper disposal of surplus or expired stock.
Supervise store assistants and manage daily store operations (if applicable).

Additionally
Inventory Management: Oversee day-to-day operations, including the receipt, inspection, storage, and dispatch of materials.
Documentation & System Maintenance: Maintain accurate inventory records in the Hospital Information System (HIS/ERP), update stock registers
Supply Chain Control:



Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages, identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory, and initiate replenishment requests.
Quality & Safety Compliance: Ensure proper storage conditions (especially for temperature-sensitive items), follow FIFO/FEFO (First In First Out / First Expired First Out) practices, and adhere to NABH/JCI standards.
Auditing: Conduct regular physical stock verification, cycle counts, and reconciliation of inventory, reporting discrepancies to management.
Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with purchase departments and vendors for timely delivery of materials.

Willingness to travel locally for site visits, vendor meetings, and event support
Experience in healthcare, diagnostics, retail, or services sectors is preferred
