Deputy General Manager Civil | Transmission & Substation

Roles & Responsibilities
Lead and oversee civil execution of 132kV, 220kV and 400kV transmission line and substation projects from mobilization to completion and handover.
Manage civil works including tower foundations, equipment foundations, control rooms, cable trenches, roads, drains, yards, buildings and other substation infrastructure.
Handle multiple projects/sites simultaneously, with overall monitoring and coordination from the Head Office.
Conduct site visits, inspections and project reviews as required and as directed by management.
Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Planning, QA/QC, HSE, Electrical, Testing & Commissioning, clients and contractors for smooth project execution.
Monitor project schedule, budget, manpower, materials, contractor performance and quality, ensuring timely completion.
Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, safety standards,



statutory requirements and client requirements.
Identify project risks, delays and site issues and implement corrective actions to minimize time and cost overruns.
Review progress reports, BOQ, RA bills, quality documents and project MIS, and provide regular updates to senior management.
Lead and guide project civil teams and ensure successful completion, snag closure, documentation and final handover.

Qualification & Experience
B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
Robust experience in 132kV–400kV transmission and substation civil projects.
Experience in multi-site project management and HO-based project monitoring.
Robust leadership, coordination, planning and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to travel to project sites as required by management.
