The job
The Principal Technologist will provide hands-on technical leadership in designing and delivering scalable, secure, and high-quality cloud-based software solutions for AVEVA CONNECT. The role requires robust expertise in C#, .NET, Azure, cloud-native architecture, microservices, containers, databases, and secure software engineering. Working closely with Product, Development, DevOps, Security, and other R&D; teams, the successful candidate will drive architectural decisions, mentor engineers, establish engineering standards, and translate business requirements into robust technical solutions and delivery plans.
Key responsibilities
Work closely with the Product Owner, stakeholders, and Scrum Team to understand, define, design, and implement software solutions that meet business and customer needs.




Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning and estimation, backlog refinement, daily Scrum meetings, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Collaborate with Customer Support to troubleshoot customer-reported issues, identify root causes, and drive them to timely resolution.
Develop high-quality, maintainable, and scalable code that is fully reviewed, unit tested, documented, and delivered in accordance with agreed quality standards.
Analyze, design, implement, and validate security requirements in alignment with industry-standard cybersecurity practices.
Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices, development processes, and overall product quality.
Essential requirements
12+ years of software engineering experience.
Strong hands-on expertise in C#, .NET / ASP.NET Core, and enterprise cloud-based application development.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure and cloud-native archi
