Job Description – Operations & Business Analyst
Department: Business Operations / Strategy & Operations
Experience: 3–5 Years
Location: Nutrabay
Reporting To: Head – Operations / Business Operations
Role Objective
The Operations & Business Analyst will work at the intersection of data, business and problem-solving.The role will work closely with Operations, Product, Technology, Logistics, Warehouse, Inventory, Customer Support, Finance, Marketing, and other business teams to identify opportunities, diagnose performance gaps, and convert insights into structured improvement projects.
This is not intended to be a reporting-only role. The individual should be able to move from:
Data → Insight → Root Cause → Recommendation → Project → Business Impact
The person will be responsible for driving projects from insight identification through stakeholder alignment, execution tracking, and measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Insights & Analytics
Analyze business and operational data to identify trends, anomalies, inefficiencies, risks,
and growth opportunities.
Build and maintain dashboards, trackers, and MIS reports covering key business and operational KPIs.
Conduct deep-dive analysis across sales, conversion, fulfillment, logistics, inventory, customer experience, cancellations, returns, NDR, serviceability, and operating costs.
Go beyond reporting what happened and determine why it happened and what should be done next.
Identify root causes behind KPI deterioration and recommend corrective actions.
Segment performance across products, customers, channels, warehouses, courier partners, geographies, and processes.
Quantify the revenue, cost, customer, or operational impact of identified business problems.
Develop business cases for improvement opportunities.
2. Convert Insights into Projects
Translate identified business problems into structured improvement projects.
Define the problem statement, baseline, business impact, objective, target KP
