Role Description The ITGC / ITAC Consultant will be responsible for assessing, designing, and testing IT General Controls (ITGC) and IT Application Controls (ITAC) across client environments to support audit and compliance objectives. Day-to-day activities include performing control walkthroughs, documenting processes, identifying control gaps, and recommending remediation plans aligned with regulatory and internal audit standards. The role will involve collaborating with audit, finance, and IT teams to validate control effectiveness, support risk assessments, and prepare reports and workpapers. The consultant will also assist in implementing best practices for IT governance, access management, change management, and data integrity. This is a full-time, in office role based in Gurgaon for a 5-month contract period.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of IT General Controls (e.g., access controls, change management, IT operations) and IT Application Controls in support of financial reporting and audits.
Experience performing control testing, documenting processes and findings,



and preparing audit workpapers and reports.
Understanding of relevant frameworks and standards (such as SOX, COBIT, ISO 27001, or similar governance and compliance frameworks).
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, audit, and finance, and communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Proficiency with common enterprise systems and tools (e.g., ERP applications, access management tools, ticketing systems) and strong analytical skills for evaluating control design and effectiveness.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Accounting, or a related field; professional certifications such as CISA, CIA, or similar are an advantage.
Demonstrated attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple engagements within tight timelines.
