Role Description The Mechanical Design Engineer role at EQUICHEM is a full time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The role involves designing and developing mechanical components and assemblies for laboratory, pharmaceutical, and semiconductor equipment,



from concept through detailed engineering. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and updating 3D models and engineering drawings, selecting materials and components, and ensuring designs meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements. The engineer collaborates with production, quality, and automation teams to resolve design issues, support prototyping and testing, and optimize designs for manufacturability and cost. Additional tasks include preparing technical documentation, participating in design reviews, and continuously improving existing product lines based on field feedback and new technology.
Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong skills in Design Engineering and Product Design for industrial and laboratory equipment.
Candidates should possess solid expertise in Mechanical Engineering and Machine Design, including strength of materials and thermal systems.
