Job Title: Cloud Platform Engineer
Job Purpose:
The Cloud Platform Engineer is responsible for delivering and supporting cloud platform solutions that enable the organization’s cloud journey. They develop shared resources, implement cloud guardrails, and define best practices to support cloud adoption across development and operational teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and support automation solutions for managing development, testing, and production cloud environments.
Provide system administration and operational support, including environment build, configuration, and performance monitoring.
Implement capacity management, scaling, and security patching strategies.
Ensure all components adhere to target architecture standards from application and infrastructure perspectives.
Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.
Demonstrate innovation through prototyping and proof-of-concept initiatives.
Manage project deliverables to meet business requirements on time and budget, with proactive risk management.
Promote best practices and share knowledge to improve delivery quality.
Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards in code and environment setup.
Facilitate rapid adoption of recent technologies and tools.
Required Skills and Experience:
Strong experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
Proficiency with automation tools and CI/CD pipelines, including Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, Ansible, etc.).
Skilled in Microsoft Azure platform and DevOps practices.
Experience with scripting and automation technologies like PowerShell.
Knowledge of coding for infrastructure, APIs, and platforms across IaaS/PaaS/SaaS.
Highly organized with excellent time management.
Desirable: Experience with C#/.NET, and familiarity with emerging industry trends.
