Role Purpose

The Principal Architect will lead the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise-scale process automation solutions using Camunda BPM, Java, and Spring Boot technologies. The role is responsible for defining technology strategy, establishing architecture standards, driving innovation, and ensuring scalable, secure, and resilient solutions across multiple business domains.

As a senior technology leader, the Principal Architect will collaborate with Enterprise Architects, Product Owners, Business Stakeholders, Delivery Teams, and Engineering Leaders to build world-class workflow automation platforms and up-to-date microservices-based solutions. This role builds upon the Camunda, BPMN, Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and microservices expertise highlighted in existing Camunda engineering roles.

Key Accountabilities

Enterprise Architecture




- Define and own the enterprise architecture roadmap for Camunda-based process automation platforms.
- Design scalable BPMN and DMN-driven workflow solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Establish architecture principles, standards, and governance frameworks.
- Provide technical leadership for complex transformation programs.

Solution Design & Delivery
- Lead solution architecture from requirements through production deployment.
- Define integration patterns between Camunda, APIs, databases, event streams, and enterprise applications.
- Design cloud-native and containerized solutions using modern architecture practices.
- Ensure performance, scalability, security, and maintainability of solutions.

Technology Leadership
- Act as the highest-level technical authority for Camunda platforms.
- Mentor Solution Architects, Technical Leads, and Development Teams.
