Staff Platform Engineer

Location : Bengaluru, India - Hybrid (3 days onsite)

Salary : 22-28 LPA

Shift : 11am - 8pm IST

Duration : 6-month contract-to-hire

Job Overview
The Staff Platform Engineer will help drive enterprise-wide platform engineering initiatives focused on improving the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), developer productivity, and engineering efficiency. This role combines hands-on engineering with technical leadership, partnering across engineering, product, architecture, and security teams to build scalable platform capabilities, modernize development frameworks, and advance AI-powered engineering practices.
Must-Have Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field.
7+ years of experience in platform engineering, software engineering, cloud engineering, DevOps, or similar disciplines.
Solid hands-on coding experience with the ability to troubleshoot and solve complex engineering problems.
Experience building platform products, shared services, developer tools,



or enterprise engineering platforms.
Strong understanding of SDLC optimization, CI/CD, automation, and modern software delivery practices.
Python development experience.
Experience working across multiple programming languages and technologies.
Knowledge of cloud-native architectures and platform modernization initiatives.
Experience leading technical initiatives and influencing engineering standards across teams.
Exposure to AI-powered engineering tools and agentic AI workflows (GitHub Copilot or similar).

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with enterprise platform transformation or modernization efforts.
Experience implementing AI-enabled development practices, AI agents, or autonomous workflows.
Knowledge of SRE, observability, governance, and engineering metrics.
Relevant cloud, DevOps, or software engineering certifications.
