Job Description

Experience Range:- 6 - 10 Yrs
- Hands-on experience with the configuration, implementation and troubleshooting of
- Cisco Wireless LAN Controller (WLC) and Access Points (APs).
- Cisco Prime Infrastructure / DNA Center
- Cisco ISE, RADIUS/AAA, 802.1X authentication
- Positive understanding of:
- Wi-Fi standards (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax)
- RF fundamentals, modulation, interference, roaming
- Wireless security (WPA2/WPA3, 802.1X, EAP types)
- Site survey tools like Ekahau, AirMagnet.
- Handle L2 wireless incidents, service requests, and user connectivity issues.
- Troubleshoot access point (AP) registration, client association, roaming, and authentication problems.
- Perform basic configuration changes on Cisco WLCs (AireOS / 9800 series) under guidance.
- Monitor wireless performance, alarms, and AP/WLC health through tools like Prime/DNAC.
- Assist with RF checks, channel/power adjustments, and coverage validations.
- Support onboarding of new APs, SSID updates,



and floor map changes.
- Document resolutions, update SOPs, and provide inputs for knowledge base articles.
- Work closely with L3 teams for escalations and deeper RCA.
- Should be ready to work in 24X7 Shifts.

Role descriptions / Expectations from the Role :-
- Handle L2 wireless incidents, service requests, and user connectivity issues.
- Troubleshoot access point (AP) registration, client association, roaming, and authentication problems.
- Perform basic configuration changes on Cisco WLCs (AireOS / 9800 series) under guidance.
- Work with security teams for 802.1X, ISE, and wireless authentication issues.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement long-term fixes.
- Maintain documentation, standards, and provide guidance to L1/L2 teams.
- Coordinate with vendors (Cisco TAC) for advanced support.
