Job Description
Key responsibilities
n– Participate in client requirement-gathering sessions with hyperscalers, neo clouds, BFSI, GCCs and AI-native companies; capture and structure technical requirements.
n– Prepare rack layouts, space plans, single-line concepts and capacity/phasing models under senior guidance, including high-density GPU zones.
n– Support HPC/AI solution design work: GPU cluster bills of material, InfiniBand/Ethernet fabric cable schedules, and power/cooling load calculations for dense racks.
n– Build and maintain BOMs, solution templates and pricing inputs for proposals; draft sections of technical proposals and RFP/RFI responses.
n– Coordinate with the DC Infrastructure team on design feasibility, costing inputs and site data.
n– Maintain the solution engineering knowledge base: standard designs, density and cooling reference configurations, competitor benchmarks.
n– Support site visits, client walkthroughs and technical Q
n
nEssential qualifications & experience (must-have)
n– 2–5 years in data centre design, MEP consulting, colocation operations engineering, or pre-sales support for DC/IT infrastructure.
n– Working knowledge of DC fundamentals: power chains (UPS, PDU, redundancy concepts), cooling approaches (CRAC/CRAH, chilled water, awareness of liquid cooling), rack and space planning.
n– Foundational exposure to HPC/AI infrastructure: understanding of GPU server platforms and high-performance networking concepts (InfiniBand vs Ethernet/RoCE), with genuine motivation to specialise in AI data centre solutioning.
n– Proficiency with AutoCAD/Revit or similar layout tools; strong Excel for capacity and BOM modelling.
n– Transparent technical documentation and presentation skills (PowerPoint/Word); comfort in client-facing settings.
n– Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics or related engineering discipline.
